So I’ve been trying to dip back into dating, but to be honest I never faired very well to begin with. After my last relationship went south due to dishonesty and secrecy associated to my dealbreakers.
Anyways after that whole experience I’ve moved towards holding really strict dealbreakers that’s made dating seem like too much of a chore to bother with at this point in my life, and will likely get more difficult with age.
I’ve really only have two dealbreakers that will send me running which are: they need to be childfree and not want kids and they cannot be a part of any fundamentalist sect of any religion. Both I now stick to unwaveringly, but honestly it’s been incredibly difficult to find anyone that fit into these categories since not wanting children is a relatively small percentage of the population in the U.S. and it’s only gotten worse since teen pregnancy rates in some states are increasing.
Anyways, I was hoping to see if there was any advice for how I should navigate or where I should be looking. I’ve been trying online dating, but it’s mostly a miss since there are so few individuals on there that even qualify (I dislike using that word since this is all preference, but that’s the best I can think of at the moment). So any advice that might help me find someone while not sacrificing my preferences so I don’t regret anything.
