Dealing with rejection

So today I pushed past the forever existent nervousness that waves over me whenever I ask a girl out on a date, with seemingly relative ease(which may have made it seem as though I was more confident than I am).

“How would you feel about going to dinner Saturday?” I proposed.

“You know I would love to, you’re extremely cute and funny!” She retorted. “But you see I’m kinda talking to someone right now, but you know, it could possibly not work out.” She continued with a wink.

“Well just let me know if you’re interested in grabbing some food, and I’ll see if I have anything going on.” Our young protagonist replied “You have my number.”

After the exchange of words took place, we continued to have a great time in the company of one another, and I never dwelled on the rejection!

To anyone who needs to hear this, rejection may be a fear, but it’s not always as bad as you think it is.

TL;DR got rejected, wasn’t a pouty baby about it
