I’ve only dated 2 guys from dating apps. The 2nd guy we broke it off a few weeks ago. A few days ago I was bored and decided to hop back on a dating app and guess who I see? The guy I dated few weeks ago! I’m not mad or anything but it just makes me feel weird? Like it kind of feels awkward to see someone you dated on the dating app again. Its not wrong but it gives me an ick feeling for some reason.
Ive used dating apps on/off since 2018, I don’t swipe right that much (I’m not attracted to majority of people on dating apps unfortunately) and yeah I’ve only gone out with 2 people. I’d say I’m a ‘light/casual’ user. I can’t imagine what the weird feeling feels like for people who just hop back on the app right away after breaking up with the last person they met on the app. I know people who have been doing that for a few years now! Or maybe they don’t get that weird feeling at all.
I’ve heard the term ‘dick carousel’ and it sort of feels like that. For men it’s ‘p*ssy carousel’ I guess lol. So its like both genders are on a genitals carousel .
Speaking of machines. Another reason I’m quitting dating apps is because it feels ‘unnatural’. Like when I meet a someone, we’re on a date so there’s these expectations and it feels so serious sometimes. If I was going to be with a partner I’d like to be with someone I know completely, not just the front they show me. I understand I need to get to know them first and I say that to them but the guys usually want to be serious bf/gf after like a month.
Sorry if this offends some people who like dating apps. Its fun concept but I guess it’s just not for me.
