Did I ruin it? Seeking advice

Hey gang need some advice,

Basically met this absolutely amazing chick on tinder whom messaged me just as I'd given up on that app, turns out we'd gone to school together in primary school for about a year. We ended up hitting it off big time with similar interests and hobbies. She also ticked pretty much every box and I thought I'd finally found someone I could see myself with longterm. she was stunning!

We had some great hour long phone calls throughout the week before our first date and our first date was fantastic, kinda winged it a little with coffee and a walk/food at different spots, shared our first kiss, etc etc. – Best date I've ever had though.

2nd Date was a bit harder to arrange as she was doing some gnarly study/exams but I picked her up early, got breakfast and went and did an escape room, walk along beach, all worked out well and we went over the "I need to be home by this time to study" which she was ok with as it just kept being so fun/easy.

We messaged plenty and had a few good phonecalls but due to things had to wait 2 weeks until our 3rd date, it slowed down a little but I sorta attribute this to the study as she was stressed and I also gave her plenty of space surrounding it, she still made time to give me a call here and there which was nice.

Now the part that sucks… 3rd Date. She comes to my place and I cook for her a somewhat difficult meal due to her diet restrictions but it turned out amazing and she loved it, whew! We kissed plenty as it was cooking and things got heated, after dinner we settled on a movie and it escalated from there but when it came time to perform the ol' melty man appeared and I got major performance anxiety that prevented any real fun from being had. Certainly embarrassing but she seemed to understand and we cuddled a bit etc. (has happened in the past rarely but there are ways around it, it's normally a first time with new partner thing)

She left in the morning, things seemed ok although I hardly slept as I was pretty disappointed in myself and that kept me up thinking. We didn't message much after that due to her exams as I gave her plenty of space and told her to message me whenever she's up for a study break or whatever although I noticed it was getting colder compared to how it had been. As I hadn't heard from her in about 3 days I thought I'd ask her if she was up for a call and she said she'd get back to me.

Then she hit me with a message along the lines of how she'd been thinking it over a lot, thinks we get along famously, share the same interests and I'm a great guy but for here something is missing. Said she felt crappy about it but left it at that.

That message did freight train me a bit. I was low-key thinking I'd finally found someone I could see myself with in the future, the dates up until that meltymoment were beyond amazing.. so I'm not sure if I ruined somehow or what but I was pretty bummed out tbh.

Whats everyone's take on this situation? Personally If it was all from that little hiccup then I think it's quite shallow based on how well things had been going, and if it was something else then it's likely out of my control.. It just sucks as I've dated many girls and she's the first I could ever see myself settling with.. we honestly hit it off like something else and I find myself thinking on it/her a lot as to whether I've ruined my chances.

Before anyone asks, I responded to said message later that night with something mature along the lines of; that message certainly got me in the feels and we got along famously but if you're not feeling it, such is life. no hard feelings. – Left it at that.

Melty man.
