Is one of the goods things to come out of rejection , the fact that it leads to a personal rebuild. Last year when someone rejected me after several dates, I was initially devastated because I was emotionally invested in them. And for a while I lost confidence in myself, and I felt that I couldn’t concentrate on anything.
I guess after that I did kind of go on a rebuild I felt like I needed to change myself . I began running or going to the gym 3-4 times a week, spending money on more stylish clothes / hair products. And just really focused on putting myself out there through expanding my friendship group etc . I guess that really helped . And now I’ve noticed that I’m more interested in my own life than I am in finding someone. A year ago whenever someone showed interest in me I would become super attached and anxious, but now I feel a lot more secure and confident in myself than ever.
So I guess what I’m trying to ask , although rejection does hurt a lot, is one of the positives to come out of it a rebuild ?
