Ditched

I’ve been dating/talking to this guy for a while now and we’ve really hit it off. Today is my birthday and the night before I was spending with my friends, he invited me over to his new place afterwards which I was excited for because we’ve never spent the night together before. He sent me the address and I parted from my Friends. I get there after spending significant money on a Lyft and it’s gated apartment, I call, text, call and get no answer. Because of covid I spend an hour in a shady part of town waiting for a Lyft home in a nice dress with an overnight bag on my arm. I’m so upset with myself, I cried the entire ride home thinking about how worthless I am. When I got home I was so frustrated I accidentally ran into a doorframe and now have a huge goose egg on my head.

Why is it so hard to find someone who won’t fuck you over or hurt you?! What makes me so broken that you can’t answer my phone call after asking me to your place? I thought you might be someone I’d consider dating, I guess I’m glad I proved myself wrong…..
