My ex (we were together for two years) got married today, about 2 years after he broke up with me. While together, he would say he wanted to marry me and he loved me for all of me, I was excited to marry him and start our life together, but then dumped me out of the blue with no real reasoning. 6 months later he’s with a new woman, proposes to her on our dating anniversary, and today they got married. Logically I know I have better things ahead (he could be controlling and a bit of an ass), but emotionally my heart still aches. Do you ever really get over a first love?
