Does anybody else hate screwing around when dating? Like that “just talking” stage?

I hate this part of dating. Like when you start dating someone and the do the whole “we’re talking” thing after 5 dates. Like we’ve been texting constantly and call every day. We’ve learned a lot about each other. I like you, you like me. Why not just start dating each other? Why do we have to screw around. Why is it so difficult to commit?. “Just talking” doesn’t do anything after a few weeks. It’s not that difficult. This pisses me off. Anybody else hate this?
