does this guy like me!?

so i’ve (19F) been dating this guy for around 3 months, skype dating of course because of the pandemic, we live about an hour from each other and will be able to meet soon as lockdown restrictions are being lessened.

so, when we had our first few skype calls he seemed super interested in me, he made it obvious but at the time i was still being cautious and keeping my distance. as we’ve talked more he’s grown on me a lot, and i’m beginning to like him quite a bit. however, from a few weeks ago he began to seem distant, not as enthusiastic, he began to be late consistently for our calls and he stopped texting first. i’m not blaming myself for any of that, however i was keeping my distance at the time and not showing too much interest myself, so maybe that’s why.

our last call went well, i felt a lot more myself around him and we have a fun time chatting, i also showed a lot more interest in him, he told me he liked me and i told him i liked him too.

however, for the past week i’ve heard nothing from him (till today). when he was at the supermarket he used the wifi there to message me: he explained that his wifi had been down since saturday and that someone was to come around and fix it. later on he got his wifi back, and explained that he didn’t text me back because he couldn’t as he’s not currently on a contract (he doesn’t get a lot of money as he’s only on a grant), and he couldn’t call me cause the signal is apparently shit where he lives. he sounded genuine so i believe him.

anyway today when he rang me for the first time since getting his wifi back he sounded enthusiastic to hear me, he was very apologetic and was complimenting me like he used to when we first started to chat. he also referred to me as his girlfriend. i’m going to be honest, i’ve never been so happy to hear from him, i was so giddy lmao.

i told my parents about everything as i’m extremely close to them: they find him overall very suspicious. it’s beginning to make me feel torn. i just need some more opinions on this! do u all think he lost interest in me?

p.s: i fully intend to confront him about seeming disinterested before, i know i shouldn’t get fully invested until i meet him irl so please don’t lecture me on that. thank u!
