I (27M) hit off with a girl (24F) on one of the more serious dating apps in my area, but our timing couldn't have been worse. Ended up never meeting in person before the lockdown.
It's now been about a month and a half since we started messaging and we've had 3 video dates, several calls, and played some games online together.
She seems really great, and as someone who is pretty picky, this is probably the first girl I've been interested in in about 2 years. I don't want to let her go because of the current circumstances.
That being said, it really feels like we can't progress forward until we can meet in person. It's almost like the "just talking" phase is going too long. It's not that I'm worried about her going anywhere (we're both stuck at home). I am worried that the spark will be gone by the time we meet and maybe a bit worried that our calls will get boring since none of us are doing much interesting stuff in our lives anymore.
Is it weird to ask her to put it on hold and message her back in a month or so, or even longer, even though I'm interested? Am I weird for having these concerns? What are you guys all doing?
