Emotional, physical, spiritual love and abuse go generations back. It’s 2020 and it’s time for us to stop chasing love. Just be.

Hey guys! I notice we’re a generation that came from traditional parents, mostly, whom were not sure how to raise us due to their history too. It took me a solid 30 years to learn what it means to have self worth, respect and understanding of patterns that go generations back. I feel our generation can break free and raise kids, whether your own or not, to be better. It starts with us though because we have the power to change this now.

My experience has been choosing men who have a tendency to emotionally abuse me or sometimes even, physically. I tolerated a lot of this behaviour as I saw it ‘normal’ in my eyes even though my instinct kept telling me otherwise. Times that my partner would be rude to strangers too should have been a red flag. In that sense, the good times clouded these behaviours many would deem inappropriate.

I am sharing this because I want to help others break free from the desire to be in love with someone and spend the rest of your life with them. Don’t bother if they’ve broken your trust or lied. Really. Try to see your history and why you tolerate what you do.

It’s been deeply rooted in me since I was about four or five that this is what I wanted. What’s the point if you don’t share everything with one person in this life right?

And now, I feel grateful to have experienced love but the right partner shouldn’t make you feel bad even 10% of the time.

Clear communication, love yourself and most importantly respect and be kind to others.

I know it sucks sometime. The void and the empty feeling. Memories of those moments you shared with a loved one.

At the end of the day, you come into this life alone and leave alone. I thought I understood what it all meant. But even at almost 30, I’m discovering this journey is endless and that we can rewire our mind to a brighter future.

Stop chasing and just live.. do nothing even. The love that was meant for you has always been there.
