So I met this girl that works with my aunt. She had Covid and was wondering who had an Oximeter. I told my aunt i had a spare one and lent one to her. Since she's been really appreciative. My aunt showed her my FB pics and she said she thought I was really attractive. She showed me her pics as well and I think she's really cute too. So my aunt gave me her number cause she said she wanted to talk to me to thank me for the oximeter. I gave her a brief call knowing she wanted to speak with me. She has since added me on FB and we've been talking for a bit. She started sending me good morning and good night messages on the first few days. This type of messaging would seem like something only longstanding couples would have. It feels a little fast for me but wondering if maybe I'm the only one who feels this way? Anywho, in addition to those messages I've been engaging her in small talk also. We've been talking for about a week and I heard from my aunt 3 days ago that she would like me to take her out somewhere. I think it's a little soon and would prefer to get to know each other over the phone a bit more before that. She is really sweet to me in texts and recently feel like she hasn't been as responsive because I've been sticking to small talk and practical topics while she gives me more affection. She strikes me as a "heart on her sleeve" type person. Due to this, I don't want to lead her on before I meet her in person and find out if it's going to work out. Although she's recovered from Covid, I've been a little hesitant on how to proceed as I hear people can still be contagious a few weeks after. That's a whole other topic I'd rather not go too into on this post about dating; however, I plan on either seeing her with a mask or try a virtual date this weekend. In the interim though for this week though I'd like to ask: Since I'm still interested, is there a way I can convey to her more affection/romantic interest without going too overboard? I'd like to let her know I'm interested in her but don't want to risk leading her on in case it doesn't work out. What are your thoughts?
