For context I’m 26 female and come from a background where dating isn’t a thing that’s permissible in my culture. Luckily I live in the west… so me starting now isn’t as big of an issue… anyways I don’t really have any experience with guys let alone know what it feels to be attracted to someone (+inner self esteem issues). If anything it’s become a habit of avoiding talking to guys at all.
So I finished updating my first dating profile on hinge and I am absolutely mortified. Since it’s been active (like 10 min) I did get 5 likes this far and I already want to run into a corner and hide. It’s so beyond my comfort zone and I don’t really understand why I’m feeling that way.
I guess my inner fears is that maybe I’m not good enough or feminine enough. I think I’m pretty (on the right day and at the right angle)… I don’t know why it’s so nerve-wrecking… any advice? One thing I have a growing fear of is rejection and being played.
