Hey guys! So I (21,M) found this girl (21,F) I like on a dating app. She seems pretty cool and we have a lot in common. I'm thinking of messaging her, but I'm anxious that I may not be able to keep a conversation going. While I do think I have a lot to talk about and contribute to the conversation, I still have doubts. In conversations I had with other people (non dating) I met online, I'm no longer in contact with them since we kinda ran out of things to talk about. It's probably my fault though.
I do struggle with social anxiety too and I'm pretty nervous about messaging her. She seems really approachable and not the one to give you the cold shoulder but still, my anxiety really is starting to kick in with all the "what ifs". I also struggle sometimes with verbal communication in real life and I tend to stutter my words a lot and it makes me feel awkward. I don't know if this will affect things should we decide to go on a date once Covid-19 clears up.
I know communication is paramount in any relationship, but I just doubt my ability to do it right. Any advice? What do you think?
