I’ve been on two dates with this girl but have none her as a friend for about 5 years. First date we walked our dogs at the park and went and had dinner afterwards. Second date we went to her house and made dessert and watched a movie. I thought for sure I’d have the opportunity to go in for the first kiss on the second date, but she never made an effort to get close to me or hint that was what she wanted. At first, she wanted to watch the movie outside in separate, outdoor lounge chairs. I’d think even if she was shy she’d at least pick an environment where we’d be closer? Then it started to rain so we moved in side together on the couch, but even then her body was pointed away from mine. I’m pretty reserved myself, but I’d still readjust to try to get closer to her, hoping she’d reciprocate but she never did.
Looking at that alone it may seem like she’s not into me, but she initiated both of the first two dates and wants to go on another. Is she just slow to be open? Is there more I need to be doing? I just feel like she would already be comfortable with me after knowing me for so long.
