Hey guys,
<<< short version >>>
I am 37 and my girlfriend (28) has still been on Tinder (and maybe other apps) to get Instagram followers. We broke up. Was that the right decision or is being on Tinder, while in a relationship, nowadays a normal thing?

I (37) met this hot babe (28) from Eastern Europe ( I am from Western Europe) on a long holiday trip 5 months ago and we started dating. In the beginning I thought we will just have a nice dinner and maybe something more. Turned out we spent every day together and met again on a trip. We made it exclusive! For a couple weeks we have been texting/video-calling everyday because corona made it impossible to see each other.
She has an Instagram account with 6k+ followers and posts (hot) pics regularly. I found her thru Tinder where she only mentions her Instagram account. Turns out she still has this Tinder account going. I had a bad feeling and made a new account (my old one was deleted) to check that. Usually I would just ask or have a normal conversation but I acted like a typical jealous idiot. I think this lockdown situation made me act like that.
She said she uses Tinder to get instagram followers, not for dating. I even believe that (for her defense I have to mention that she mentioned me twice in her posts. No pics of me, just saying in some way she has a boyfriend) but I dont want a girl acting like that. I give my girl all attention she needs and treat her as best as I can. I cant have a girlfriend on who is active on Tinder. You know like those girls who go out and dont mention they hae a boyfriend to get free drinks. Kinda feels like that.
We broke up.
Here's the question: Is it normal now to be on Tinder to get instagram followers? I only wanna know if this is the deal now?
Sorry, I am not a native speaker. Don't overthink every word I wrote. Those stories are always more complex.
Thank you for any comment.
