So the thing is I've been told by my friends (girls) that I'm (26M) genuinely nice and which is why I get friendzoned. I'm meeting this girl whom I've been talking to for a while. We haven't been very consistent in talking but have been replying on each other's stories. Recently, she messaged me saying our walk is due (I didn't want to go on a traditional date. Hence I had suggested for a walk a couple of months back. But because of COVID-19 restrictions, I couldn't really plan anything earlier). Now, I need advice on what I should do to avoid getting friendzoned. I am not looking for much, but casual relationship first and then I'll consider if she's someone I'd want to get serious for. My guy friends have told me I talk a lot, which isn't a good thing, apparently. :/ Also, how should I not come off as a 'nice guy'? How do you even check if you're suffering from the nice guy syndrome? Did I mention that my female best friend suggested that I need to be more confident? I didn't understand in what context she meant though.
TL;DR: How do go on a date without getting friendzoned?
