I'm a 22M med student, I started volunteering at an ER a month ago. There's a girl (24-25y) among the other med student volunteers, we've been working together for a few shifts. These shifts are pretty long (12h) so I had plenty of time to get to know her. She's very cute, really pretty, she has an attractive personality and a great sense of humour. She's two years older than me (I'm in 4th year, she's in 6th, she's getting her degree this summer), this age difference can't be seen though on the outside, she's shorter than me and a bit skinny so she practically looks younger than me.
A few days ago, we worked together again and we got along pretty well. We had great conversations (at least I felt that way) and we were joking around quite much. We also started texting a few days ago but I'm a bit confused right now. Despite the quite good chemistry I feel between us when we work together, it takes her half a day or a day to reply. She sends long texts though but she sends them quite slowly.
I have two questions regarding this situation:
- What does this long reply time mean? Is she not interested? Or is she just communicating this way with everyone else on-line? I feel we get along pretty well so I'm confused.
- May this age difference be a problem? She's going to start working as a doctor this September and I'm still only a med student. This age difference can't be seen on the outside though.
Thank you for your replies and advices!
TLDR: I think we have great chemistry in person, she replies very slowly though. What does this mean?
