This guy (25M) and I (23F) matched on Bumble at the beginning of April, exchanged numbers, and have been texting each other almost daily ever since. We've had two phone calls and he's almost always the one to revive the conversation and never let it go silent for more than 1-2 days. He brought up that he vaguely remembered matching with me months ago because my profile pic was memorable but says he didn't think we ever had a conversation and kinda jokingly said that quarantine must have helped his chances. I always felt that he was a bit more interested than I was since he was the one to initiate more and because he kept saying how he was looking forward to our date in the future, and that he hoped he wasn't so far down on my match list that I'd forget about him by then. I personally might have even seemed a bit cool or distant because I didn't find it fruitful to text everyday during this lockdown just to be like "how was your day? more of the same?" But even though I didn't initiate as much I tried to be as engaged as possible while we were texting and show that I was interested in our eventual in-person date.
However, on Friday, we were texting and all of a sudden he was just like "Oh! Found you!" and he sent me a screenshot of our conversation (or lack thereof) on Coffee Meets Bagel back in October. Apparently that's when we had matched like he had alluded to earlier, and it was just one-sided with him double-texting two opening questions and then once I hadn't responded and the chat was about to expire, he had sent a final message saying "goodbye ____! guess it was nice knowing you lol." I jokingly told him I hoped he didn't hold a grudge that I hadn't replied but to be fair I barely used CmB and deleted it within a few weeks of trying it out. I also asked if my profile was still up even though I definitely deleted it, and he said it must keep it if two people match, because he could still see my entire profile. I had a few additional pics up on CmB that were kind of old that are not on my current Bumble profile, and I remember that my bio was kind of generic and also felt kind of embarrassed being put on the spot like that, but I just tried to brush off that whole sort of awkward interaction and we exchanged a few more texts that night.
However, the next morning, I noticed that he was suddenly not in my Bumble matches anymore even though he had always been there, well after we exchanged contact info. He didn't unmatch me on WhatsApp where we had been talking, though. However, I haven't heard from him since Friday, so it's been 5 days of total silence when we have normally texted a little every day/every other day. I'm not super duper bummed if he's ghosting because we've never met in person, but I'm guessing something involving my CmB profile is what did it? Just not entirely sure what happened here, lol
