The opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy.
Recently dated a guy where after we fought, he stopped texting me. I apologized to him right away for my part but he said it was 'too late' and I've reached out to him in hopes of talking things through (after 3 weeks). He did reply and was replying really quickly but he was not being nice to me and at the end of the conversation, he said goodbye instead of goodnight.
*a mutual friend told me that he's mentioned that he was mean to me in a jokingly way
Is he being mean because he's not interested in me at all, or because he's really really hurt and needs me to keep trying to talk to him?
