Guys on dating apps??

So I a 28F am on quite a few different dating apps and often see many of the same men on all three apps that I use. There have been a few times we’re I’ll match with a guy on one app and we’ll have a conversation going and then the conversation dies or they stop replying. But the part that kinda always confuses me is that they will then continue to swipe right or match with me at later times on different apps, if that makes sense. An example, I matched with one guy a few months ago and we spoke and exchanged numbers and had planned to possibly hangout but the day of, I texted him and never heard from him again but multiple times after the fact he has swiped on me on different apps. Like wouldnt the guy remember that things didn’t really go anywhere or am I just giving guys too much credit in thinking that they remember certain girls lol or maybe they think they have nothing to lose. Idk I’m honestly just curious in a guy’s opinion.
