Guys who constantly text before a date

I don’t like texting constantly days on end before a date. I feel like it wears both me and the guy out. Then you feel like you know each other since you’ve already asked the basic questions before you even meet the person (“where are you from? What do you like to do in your free time? Etc.)

I can’t think of any non-socially-awkward ways to say, “hey, in my past experience, texting this much before we actually meet has always made the actual date boring, can we save this conversation for the date” without seeming really difficult.
