I had my first virtual date on Friday with a girl I met online. We did a virtual happy hour. It seemed to go pretty well, but I wasn’t putting too much hope into it because I’ve been rejected so many times at this point it’s what I’ve come to expect. However, a few hours after the date she texted me and said she was glad she got to video chat with me and wished we could’ve talked longer. We texted a few more times back and forth that night and it was obvious she was somewhat intoxicated because she was misspelling a lot of words, but I thought it was still a really promising sign that she texted me and said she really enjoyed our chat. Well, she didn’t respond to my last text that night, which obviously I figured she just fell asleep, and we didn’t text yesterday, so I decided to text her today and just asked what’s up and made a joke that she seemed like she was feeling pretty good Friday night. It’s been like 12 hours and she hasn’t responded yet, which from my experience means it’s doomed. Millennials look at their phones like a dozen times an hour typically, so I highly doubt she hasn’t seen it. Why would she freaking text me telling me she had a good time and wished we could’ve talked longer, giving me hope, and then never respond to me a day and a half later?!
