Have you ever been denied a kiss? If so how did it go?

Unfortunately I experienced this for the first time a few days ago. I leaned in for it and she made like a “uh uh” type noise and turned away and got out of the car. Quite honestly one of the most humiliating things that’s ever happened to me. And to make matters worse it was my best friend who I am in love with. I cannot stop reliving the embarrassment so maybe hearing other people’s stories will make me feel not alone in this.
