I have been dating this guy for about 4 months. We spend a lot of time together, text so much when we aren’t together and enjoy each other’s company. I have been very clear that I am not looking for a friends with benefits and I do not want to be lead on at all. He knows this but he has recently got out of a long term relationship so isn’t ready to go fully official yet, which I think is fair.
The other night we were at a friends place and he had a little argument with his best friend and went storming out. They had a chat outside and he was sobbing which broke my heart. He wouldn’t tell his friend what it was about and he won’t tell me what it was about because he says it is “none of my business”.
He isn’t a big talker and isn’t super affectionate. He likes spending time with me and enjoys my company, we have amazing sex and sometimes we’ll cuddle after or in the middle of the night but not for long. He’s been very open about not liking hard conversation and not being a sharer. He enjoys his independence and time to himself. Which is ok.
BUT I don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t feel like I’m someone they can talk to and share things that are upsetting them. I want to be the person that he DOES turn to when he is sad. What should I do about it?
