I’ve been talking to a guy that goes to school in my town for a little over two months now. We haven’t been able to meet up because he is back home for the summer but will be back at school in the fall. We have been texting everyday and calling each other a couple times a week since the beginning of April.
Over the past few weeks, it seems like I have to initiate calling and texting more and it takes him longer to get back to me. I thought things were fizzling out until we talked on the phone for 3 hours last week. He told me he really likes me and has feelings for me. He also said he wanted to come visit me this summer before school started. I was happy but then I barely heard from him this week. Every time I did hear from him, he initiated but would then take forever to respond to my texts. I asked him if he was for sure coming back this fall and he said yes. I said I am excited to meet him but he didn’t respond to that.
I just feel like things are over and I don’t understand what happened. How did he lose interest so quickly after saying he liked me? I know it is dumb to get too invested in someone I met from a dating app but it’s hard not to when you’ve talked to them for so long. I’m gonna pull back and not bother him anymore. Does anyone have any advice on dealing with this?
