Yo, so my gf (20F) broke up with me (20M) last night, I’m doing fine though. However, the text she sent to me is kinda nagging at me cause I can’t tell if she’s pointing out a “me” problem that I need to look into (I feel like she blamed me for this happening in the text). To give context, I’m a college student in a hard major and haven’t seen her in about 4 months (saw her late Jan last, I go to college 3.5 hours away), but I texted her every day/other day. She doesn’t have a job or go to college, doesn’t socialize, and mostly stays at home (which is why I’m not super duper upset lol she doesn’t really do much, she was chill tho). If someone can dissect this message and lemme know I’d appreciate it!
I’ll quote the text exactly,
“I’ve been pushing it back a few day’s because it’s gave me anxiety, I love you but I feel like our relationship isn’t giving me what I need stability wise, we are both just different and want different things I think, I feel I need more security and someone who’s more emotional/clingy like me. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I think it would be best for me to end things. I want to remain friends, I love and care for you a whole lot, I just think I’m not longer happy because I’ve grown a lot. I’ve felt like we’ve grown apart the past few months. And quarantine is crazy. I’m really anxious sending this but I want you to be happy even if it’s not with me and you really deserve happiness. I hope this doesn’t hurt you a lot, but I want to be honest with you.”
Basically if I should take this as a “learning experience” what should I take away from it? I’m not worried about finding other girls, and I think I dodged a bullet tbh, but it’s just nagging at me that I was kinda blamed so maybe it’s on me?
