how are you able to text daily ?

I often read in this subreddit people who talk/text daily with their SO.

I don't understand how you are able to do that. I could spend months without seeing a person and i would have still nothing to say when i see her/him.

I am a back-end programmer, what i am doing make no fucking sense for the others. When I don't work, i do sports, nothing to talk about that.

I have a cousin who is a paramedic, she has new stories to talk about everyday. Everyone is happy to see her because she always have fun anecdotes to tell.

I am a boring person because i am nothing to say about what i am doing in life. What are my options ? Should i change of career ?
