How did you meet your significant other?

I know this post probably gets made at least once a week, but I’m looking interesting, funny and strange/unexpected stories. I’ll start with mine. So about 2 years ago (give or take a few months ago) I was with my now ex wife whom was my girlfriend at the time. I worked at this gas station for literally only like 6 days while I was in between jobs and this girl comes in and tries to buy a drink which won’t scan. I’m the only one working and I thought she was attractive (but I wasn’t going to act on that because I was in a relationship) so I just tell her to take it and go.

A few months later I see her at a grocery store and she’s there with her boyfriend and she recognizes me and she comes up to me blushing and says hi (meanwhile her boyfriend is giving me the evil eye) I say hi back and just walk out the store. I get a friend request from some girl a few weeks later on Facebook who I wasn’t sure if I recognized and I only had like 1 or 2 mutuals with and think nothing of it and just accept it. Fast forward 2 or so years my wife and I are getting a divorce a couple months after I left my wife this girl messages me on Facebook and asks if I remember her. I tell her I don’t and then she tells me I was her gas station clerk like 2 years ago lmao, I don’t even think I was wearing my name tag and she somehow managed to find me on Facebook even though we only had like 2 mutuals and played the long waiting game. Anyways we got to chatting and apparently when she approached me at the grocery store her and her boyfriend were on bad terms cause he cheated on her with her little sister so she wanted to press his buttons and he cussed her out the whole car ride home.

She didn’t message me immediately after I became single because she said she didn’t want to just become a rebound. We agreed to hangout and we hung out a couple times after that and now we have been together for a few months. Never know how you’re gonna meet someone who might end up being your next girlfriend or boyfriend lol.
