So I'm turning 21 soon and I've never actually dated anyone. I was a total nerd in high school and didn't want to date. In college, I have been more open and I'm even on dating apps. But like I seem to have no luck. I am not very picky with regards to looks, I am aware of my league and don't really go for guys that are hotter at all. Over the past few years, I've actively been putting myself out there and trying to date but like it never works out. A few guys have asked me out but they have all been guys I was like 100% totally not into. But I've never really been asked out by a guy who I was even mildly interested in.
I get a lot of matches on dating apps but so few of them go to conversations and if they do they turn into "Hey" and hey back and even when I try to drive the convo guys just aren't engaged. I've also used like Hinge and bumble and I just get matches, talk to guys for like a few days or a week, but never leads to anything. And the guys that actually ask me out are like "come over" at night and I am not looking for hook ups. And now with quarantine, I literally don't leave my apartment so like how do I even meet people if it's not online and how do I even go on a date because I don't want to get COVID.
Anyways, I'm usually totally okay with this and I really like being single but like I think it's because I'm turning 21 soon, I just feel like I should at least experience dating someone for like more than a week or two? Like I'm not even pressed to find a serious relationship or a husband or anything but just lies date someone for the butterflies? idk. But my efforts have had no avail. It's okay I guess. If you have any advice, would like that. Thanks for reading my rant!
