How do I get over a guy I see almost everyday?

I am into a guy I work with. It started almost a year ago, in December I told him how I felt and he said he doesn’t feel the same way and he isn’t really in a place to date anyone. I still talk to him and see him at work all the time and I can’t get over my feelings for him. I respect how he feels but I don’t think I’m ready to move on. Is it okay to just be content with how we both feel? It’s not like he ignores me or is rude in anyway because he is a good guy.
