I've been seeing someone for 2 months now and things have been going well. We met on a dating app and messaged/snapchatted for a few weeks before he (33M) asked if I (25F) wanted to get dinner, this was in the beginning of May also. I said yes and I went to his place and he cooked dinner. He made me very comfortable all night, didn't make any passes at me or anything and we exchanged numbers too.
We've hung out probably 3-4 times a week and it's only gotten better. I asked what he was doing on the dating app and he said he's looking for a relationship but isn't going to force one. Cool, because same.
We've hung out on weekends and I've met his brothers and even had a game night with one of them and his fiance. The fiance mentioned that they've been "excited to meet succ_it_up!" He was the first to follow me on social media, he stays the night, we started to go out (socially distancing of course) and it's been a lot of fun. We've had sex and it was also good. I asked him if he was sleeping with anyone else and he said no and that it's been months.
But this is the catch, I'm insecure that he's still talking to or dating other women and I'm not sure how I want to approach it. Also, I feel like it's definitely a convo to have in person and not over text.
I was told by a friend "not to have a 3 month convo at 2 months" so am I just supposed to be insecure and annoyed??? I don't want that.
My goal is not to be gf/bf at this very moment but I want to know if he's seeing or texting someone else, check in to see if we're on the same page. I just want to ease my own insecurities.
Obviously dating during covid has its many downfalls and has created more of a hurtle than usual.
I failed with the person I last dated by not ever having the "so where are we at" convos and I ended hurt because of it and I think that's why I have this insecurity. I haven't been in a relationship in over 2 years and I just started dating in August of last year.
tldr: I want to DTR a little bit but don't know how to quite go about it.
