How do you nicely tell a woman she smells bad?

I like this woman, and I'd like to get physical with her. But she's putting off a really bad odor — not body odor, but something that smells extremely medicine-y or chemical, like some kind of skin cream. Honestly, body odor would probably be fine, but this odor is putting me off badly, and there's no way I can get turned on when I get close to her.

What's the kindest way to raise this problem? I'd like to let her know, in case there's something she can do about it, but how do you tell someone they smell without hurting their feelings? If I can't figure this out, I'm going to have to break up with her, and that would be hurtful too, so….
