(20M) I dated a girl for about 10 months and it was the best 10 months of my life. The relationship was perfect. We never fought or argued, were always smiling or laughing, were always happy. It was amazing, she felt like the most perfect person I could’ve been with. At some point she broke up with me because she said she would be very busy soon and wouldn’t have any time to see me. This was a lie to cover up whatever actual reason she had, she wouldn’t tell me. But she started dating another guy about 3 months later. I’m not mad about it or anything, my heart just aches. I miss her, I want her back. I want to hold her and know it’ll all be okay. It’s been almost 2 YEARS since we broke up. I know I won’t get her back but I can’t stop hoping idk why. I haven’t dated anybody since, mainly because I am awful at flirting and terrified of rejection so I just don’t even attempt.
