Looking for some advice. So long story short, about 2 years ago I met my friend's cousin at a wedding. We really cliqued for some reason and it seems like there was chemistry, but I was in a relationship at the time so nothing really came out of it. My friend and his sister made jokes that his cousin was making comments about how she was into me.
Fast forward to now, I am now no longer in a relationship and this girl and I randomly messaged each other on Instagram recently. After exchanging messages we found out that both of us were single. She lives in another state, and I jokingly suggested a Facetime date given the distance and the circumstances of the world at the moment. We never made set plans, but the next day via text she said something along the lines of "so what about that Facetime date?", so we set a time to have a couple drinks and chat. The night before the date she called me randomly and we talked for a bit. Everything seemed fine on the phone, but then the next morning she kept apologizing saying she was so drunk when she called and felt embarrassed. She also called off our date because she said she was too hungover. At the time, I understood. I've been so hungover to where I really don't want to do anything and also thought she probably felt embarrassed. We rescheduled a few days later, and exchanged texts for the days in-between the first cancelled date and the second planned date. The second planned date comes and she says she is too busy with work and that we need to reschedule. I basically just told her no problem and that we could reschedule and we haven't talked since. This was a few days ago.
I'm not sure whether to ask her on a third date or not. After cancelling twice I feel like it's kind of on her to figure something out after I've proposed two times. It's been a few days, and I haven't attempted to text her or reach out because I'm getting mixed messages. When we text she will say things like "hiiii" or randomly capitalize words in texts to where I think she is interested, but on the other hand she will take forever to respond and is short. She also was the one who came back saying we should have a facetime date, but then has rescheduled a couple times.
Should I try to reschedule a third date, or even attempt to continue conversation?
