how often should I talk to someone?

so I recently started talking to someone who like me is very musically orientated and is a great person from what I can tell all round.

my question is this: how often should I talk on there. I understand that people have things to do as do I so I don't want to bombard her every 5 minutes and that being said how much is too little? there's also the part where i'm looking constantly because I use a pc and not a phone app so I don't want to be constantly missing messages. so far it's going great though.
