How to deal with mixed signals?

There’s a really shy girl that I like and we went out once. Later on I asked her out again and she said “yes! I’ll let you know what days work”. She never got back to me.

One of her best friends said that she has done the same exact thing to her as well. I don’t know how to go forward without seeming too pushy or desperate
