hello everyone, hope you all are safe and doing well. as the title shows, this is my first experience in a relationship, and it has been one of the best experiences i’ve had so far. my (21M) boyfriend is an absolute gem and i’ve never met anyone so kind, driven, and respectful towards me. he’s what i love to call “the type of person i wish i could be” because of his amazing qualities.
due to quarantine, i’ve had to move back home from campus and we both had to deal with a long-term relationship. despite the distance, we’ve managed to cope well with video chats, consistent communication, he visits me once every three to four weeks or so, and we both write letters to each other. but time alone at home has made me overthink so much: “am i doing enough for him like he is for me?” “am i beautiful enough for him or is he just saying this to me?” “do i deserve someone like him in my life?” to be honest i never had thoughts like this until now in our point of our relationship, and i don’t know how i’m supposed to deal with it. is this something i should communicate with him? and what are some steps i should be taking to ensure to him that i love and care for him, and appreciate everything he does for me?
