I am 22M and still going to college. Growing up I moved a lot so I always struggled meeting new people. I only had one experience which lasted six months before we broke up. I learned a lot but she went too fast and since it was my first I thought it was normal.
We both moved on but some part of me still feels like I want that comfort back.
She is changing colleges but when we were together we would get flirty or just playful and we both were really happy. Things started to drift for her because she probably doesn’t know what love is (she had struggled to compromise and I was giving more than her).
I know that she isn’t the one and I don’t want to find it yet but I’m confused how to get back to this. We were really good friends and could be ourselves around each other and I really thought this was love. Idk what is anymore and I don’t want someone just for sex but I want to be able to do sometimes sexy things because we are together and enjoy it.
I ideally want a relationship that lasts for some time and see where it goes. I have problems lowering expectations because I am uncomfortable with how it’s meant to be. I want ideally to fall in love with someone who I find attractive and vice versa.
My longest friendship with a girl is roughly a year and even then it could have been because she was friends with my ex so idk if we would be friends (not that I would be interested).
PS: This summer I am going away until college starts so I won’t meet people until then. My college is pretty small in the middle of nowhere with a lot more guys than girls. I am not unattractive and I don’t want to be seen as a creep or anything like that.
Edit: I want to clarify that I’m not interested in hookups or one night stand. I am not trying to do things in order to get them. I would like to be in a relationship.
Edit 2: I am not one with lots of people skills so I am being honest to people unlike how some people are online. I don’t have girls already at my feet nor would I want that. I see them as equals and potentially interesting people.
