I don’t understand how to get people to care about taking to you

This is even harder now that in person stuff is out of the question. I thought it was hard before lol!

I’ve tried it all. Jokes, asking about interests, saying stupid stuff that makes no sense, complimenting, poking fun at them, pick up lines, heartfelt questions, funny stories, personal questions, self depreciating humor, talking about their pics, small talk, it goes on and on. I never get a conversation flowing. Never.

There’s something that I’m missing. A skill or some kind of conversational awareness that I must not have. In a few years of being on tinder bumble and the lot I’ve not had one good conversation with a girl. In person it’s been even longer. It’s so bad I’m questioning the essence of conversation itself. I really don’t know what it is or what the point of it is.

I have no idea how successful guys do it. How do they make it so a girl wants to talk to them? How do you become more than invisible or meaningless to them? What combination of symbols have I not used yet? Is the key just trying as many combinations as possible until something works? On lockdown it is twice as hard and it might as well be pointless.
