I (21M) reached out to this girl (21F) from my recent college course that just finished. Before quarantine we didn’t talk in class so I sent her a message through the virtual platform (2 weeks ago). At first I was trying to score a date but then she casually mentioned that she had a boyfriend. Which is fine so my mind immediately switched to friend mode. Nonetheless we exchanged emails through my schools virtual online messenger. She’s been emailing me super long messages and we’ve been talking about each other’s lives. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I realized I feel a bit uncomfortable knowing she has a bf. I don’t want to get in the way of anything because I am a respectful dude. Should I stop emailing back? Or ask her if her SO doesn’t mind? I am not trying to get romantic. Not sure what to do.
