I feel put off when my online dating matches (whom I’ve yet to meet) show consistently bad grammar / spelling in their texts. But then I feel bad for feeling this way, because it seems somewhat superficial to judge a person based on their standard of English. Should I lower my "standards" on this?

Trying not to be a grammar nazi, but it's hard not to be bothered by this. It does negatively affect my impression of them, and reduces my enthusiasm for texting them. I still try to keep the conversation going, but cringe internally each time another mistake pops up.

Just worried that I might be prematurely withdrawing from / dismissing potential partners based on a minor (?) characteristic that might not even be that important in the long run.

Any thoughts or advice will be much appreciated, thanks.
