I (27M) have my entire life in order – I have a full time job in finance, bought a condo last year, have a roommate who pays me rent, spend a lot of time with family, don’t do drugs or anything like that etc.
I’m fit, workout 5 days a week, meal prep, am 6 foot, take quality picture for my profiles, generally a pretty good looking guy honestly, but yet I still don’t have a girlfriend and it really gets to me sometimes.
I just feel like.. I truly won’t be entirely, fully happy until I can actually find someone to share my life with. I don’t understand why it’s so bad to want that. I know the old saying goes “work on yourself” or “make yourself more attractive” or “read more books, develop skills”.
The pandemic really isn’t helping me right now but that’s besides the point. I just feel so lonely at times because most of my friends have girlfriends and they met them pretty effortlessly. I definitely feel a little envy at times but I know that’s wrong and I should be happy for them.
Maybe I should just volunteer somewhere or something like that, I don’t know. I need to get out more but the pandemic definitely has made it tougher for me.
