Now, I have known "Emily" for two years now. She's a mutual friend to my roommate and we used hang out every week, go out hiking, camping etcetera for the past two years. I always found her attractive and an interesting person.
However since January and through quarantine, Emily and I have been meeting often to run outside. As a result, I have started to know her much better. We have lots in common and I have started to have feelings for her for awhile now.
If this had been any other time, I would have definitely asked her out. However, now things have changed. I am also struggling career wise and financially due to the pandemic. I like her, no doubt about it, but the extent of emotions I feel for her is likely enhanced by the self isolation and financial pressure.
What should I do? I can't stop thinking about her. She's single. And I am constantly struggling in between asking her out and concluding this to be a result of mild depression and anxieties I am facing.
Any advice? What should I do?
TL;dr: Have been having feelings for a friend. Probably it's significantly influenced by my mild depression and anxieties due to the current situation. What should I do?
