I need advice/opinions
I 18F met this guy 20M on a dating app. He lives about 30 minutes away from me. We have been talking for a month now, everyday, but we haven't met up yet because of the whole coronavirus situation, and I'm stuck at home not allowed to go out. I'm in college (my college is about an hour away from him, but the distance is not really a problem), and he's in the navy. At first I was kinda skeptical because my whole life I never imagined myself dating or being with someone in the military, because I didn't know if I could handle deployments and stuff (and I've heard bad stories about cheating, etc), but this guy actually made me realize that I may be able to because of how much I like him. He said he wants something long-term, and if we really stay together for a few years until his next deployment, he will not give up on me easily and he will try everything to make it work. The thing is, I am a little scared to open up my heart to someone again after getting dumped twice in my past relationships, being left for someone else, etc. I know I really should not feel like this because every guy is different and not every guy is like that, which is why I am willing to try it out with this guy. The thing is, he's been with 6 or so girlfriends in the past, but that was when he was in high school to when he had training for the military. None of them lasted over a year, they were only a few months. Is this a red flag? He told me that this time, he is past the stage of playing games, and wants a long-term relationship. Which is exactly what I want too. I really do not want to casually date for fun. When I date, I get serious, and I want many years, not just a few months. And he knows that I am pretty reserved, and I want to save my virginity for someone I am probably going to marry (not necessarily no sex before marriage). He said he respects that, which I really appreciate. But do people say they want to have long-term serious relationships just to get in your pants??? Idek . He treats me so sweet, he texts back so fast, he texts me good morning, we call a few times a week, and I think I really like him. He said he's willing to wait until it's safe for us to meet up, because it's dangerous out there right now because of the virus and everything, which is honestly so sweet because he cares about my health and isn't selfish I guess. We both get jealous sometimes and we are both a little clingy (I guess it's a Chinese thing), but I am completely fine with it. I kinda relate to this guy on most things, but there is another thing I'm concerned about. I'm a little introverted and he's an extrovert. He likes going out a lot (like a few times a week) and having fun with his friends (not now obviously) but I kinda like staying inside sometimes and watching a tv show or something. I do like going out occasionally, but I don't know if he expects me to go out with him every time because his friends girlfriends go out with them a lot too. I will feel bad if friends gf goes out with them when they go out as a group, but I don't. and based on what he told me, I don't think I'll fit in with his friends tbh. Do introvert/extrovert couples work out at all? also, he found out i don’t like guys who smoke, and immediately started quitting and now has quit completely. I am really starting to like this guy, but I don't know if I should proceed because idk what’ll happen. he is rly interested tho right? cus he’s still texting everyday and calling even though we’re in quarantine and can’t rly go out…
