I think dating apps have destroyed my self-esteem

I can't speak for myself in the looks department, but I have been told I am a fairly attractive 19 year old man. (http://imgur.com/a/GSX4I6U). I also lift weights, play guitar, I'm a beginner at skateboarding, and I'm going to college to be a computer-aided designer. It's hard to gauge someone's personality through a dating profile, but I consider myself honest, loyal, respecful, and kind. Despite all of these positives I have going for me, it seems that nobody is interested in me. When I do match with someone, the conversation dries up faster than the Sahara. It also baffles me how some guys will have nothing going for them, but they still have luck in attracting women. I can't figure out what makes me unappealing, and sense of insecurity is heightened because of the lack of interest towards me on these apps.
