Hey r/dating
So I met this (22M) person on Bumble. I've been seeing this dude on and off (he lives in a different country) and he's come to see me twice in the past year. My liking to this guy is off the charts. The most insane chemistry, he seems pretty calm and collected, and we have a lot of fun together. We're not exclusive but I have told him that I really do like him. Long term issues are that he really is not good at communication (he leaves me on read, or he breadcrumbs me with texts monthly).
Recently though, I guess because of Corona isolation, he's been viewing all my instagram stories religiously and texting/checking in a lot more. He said that his lack of texting is just that he does not like using his phone. We then had a conversation about a month ago where he told me he really wants to fly out to see me for a month to see me, that he really likes me etc etc. I was floored… I am so crazy about this dude and kind of put him in the back of my mind because I was unsure… but with all this bombing of communication I became open towards him.
So recently, I was super hopped up on energy drinks and recorded myself dancing to a really weird song. I was mostly headbanging/jumping around but more of my instagram stories are of myself doing funny things anyway. I didn't think it was too cringy and i verified that it wasn't cringy with two friends before posting it. (this actually sounds so stupid as I am writing it). But anyways, since then, he's been radio silent on text, even skipping over my other stories, just silent. I am pretty sure I scared him off. On one hand, I feel like if he's so wishy washy with communication/how he feels then I really just need to finally get the fuck over him. On the other hand, I feel so stupid for posting that video and possibly scaring him off and I feel so bad about myself. Other people/dudes really liked that video and said it brought them joy, but Idk maybe it just made me look really stupid to this person. 🙁
tl;dr: Hot and cold dude stopped engaging after I posted a video of myself dancing. Feel so stupid. I guess I'm looking for common sense to help me move on/get over said person.
