I’ve(21F) been friends with this guy (20M) for a bit over two years, I pretty much had a crush on him since we met until this day. All the time that we spend together makes me so happy, he’s super sweet, funny, and I just love spending time with him. He can always make me laugh and put me in a better mood, and I love every minute that we spend together.
I’ve tried hinting during over the last two years how I’ve felt, and some of the things I do I’m sure would have made it obvious too. Staying up all night talking to him, getting him gifts on Valentine’s Day, and I flirt with him a lot. He also does these things but to a lesser extent.
I’ve always been super shy, and kind of expect the guy to make the first move. But it’s been two years and normally I would walk away but there’s something about him I can’t resist. So last night we were FaceTiming and I decided to be brave and told him how I felt. I explained to him that I have liked him for the last two years and I assume he felt that way but I’m not sure so I wanna know how felt. I was so scared and wanted to hang up then, what if he didn’t feel the same way or worse what if it ruins our friendship.
But his response is what shocked most. He told me he initially felt that way and still does. However, I’m bisexual and my last relationship the guy was super controlling and aggressive towards me, so I made some jokes about dating girls a couple times. I thought I told him I was bi sexual but he just assumed I was only into women now. So he does feel the same way about me but was trying to suppress those feelings because he thought I was gay.
Anyways, we both feel the same way about each other and I’m super excited about what’s to come. He’s a really great guy, my family and friends like him. They always tease me about dating him and I like him a lot as well and I’m exited that it seems like it’s about to happen. We’re actually going on a bike ride Sunday and I’m super excited and then his birthday will be on Monday so I won’t feel weird about dating a younger guy haha.
