I (20F) have been out of the dating scene for a bit (since February-ish). Even back then when I was going on dates with guys, I wasn’t feeling a connection and never bothered to set up a second date. However, I went on a really great first date recently. Like, it made me feel really good and happy and I genuinely cannot wait to see the guy again. He has already asked me what we should do for our second date (we are doing social distanced dates until the pandemic is over).
Well, within the past day or two I’ve had four guys hit me up. These are guys that have, in the past, kinda ghosted me/made no effort. Because they made no effort, I didn’t bother texting or contacting them. I’ve known them from between 9 years and just a few months. It’s the weirdest thing. It’s like they can sense that I’m into someone else and they’ve all the sudden decided that they now want to see me.
Once I start going on dates with someone, I don’t go on dates with other people. I don’t mind if the person I’m seeing does because it’s not like we’re exclusive. I just personally think it’s too overwhelming to try and juggle two or more guys.
One of the guys asked me to hang out in the next few days. I said that I was busy. I feel super guilty, but he waited too long and I found someone else. I don’t want to lie to him or ghost/send mixed signals. We’ve never hung out (we met through tinder). How do I go about telling him no/I just want to be platonic? Or do I just keep telling him I’m busy?
