I've been dating this guy for a little over 2 months. We met on a dating app and clicked pretty well over similar interests. We hung out once a week for about 3-4 weeks before the quarantine hits. Before the quarantine we didn't really text a lot but we had a lot to talk in-person and I'd much rather prefer in-person conversation than texting. However after the quarantine hits we had to rely on texting on IG to continue our conversation. Neither of us are fond of phone/video-calling so we've been relying on text to talk. His replies have gotten a lot slower and I feel like he's avoiding opening my message just so he doesn't have to reply to me. At first I took it as he might be busy with schoolwork and I've asked him about it but he said he has much more free time now than before. I know he's been active on IG as well because I can see his active status lol.. I don't think I'm a clingy person and I don't want to come off as clingy either. It's a bit disheartening for me that he's avoiding me. I was wondering if it'd be okay for me to send him something along the line of "You don't have to text me everyday if it's getting tedious" or if that sounds too passive aggressive? We haven't had any arguments and I don't want to start one either. Or maybe I should just suck it up and deal with it. Any advice would be great thanks in advance.
